B.Ed. admission and its future prospect as Career
The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Ed. admission are listed below:
Successful completion of graduation in any of Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) or bachelor's in commerce (B. Com.) from a recognized university
A minimum aggregate score of 50% in graduation
A minimum aggregate score of 55% at post-graduate level
B.Ed.: Selection Procedure
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. The selection process is usually conducted in the month of September every year. In order to take admission in the course, candidates must appear for the entrance exam. After the exam, B.Ed result 2017 is announced along with merit list by the university which allocates ranks to the aspirants according to their performance. Separate lists are issued for each category and stream followed by counselling process during which students are granted admission.

B.Ed.: Career Prospects
B.Ed or Bachelor of Education is an undergraduate program offered in India, minimum eligibility for admission to which is the successful completion of graduation in any discipline. University of Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Jamia Milia Islamia University, etc. are amongst the top B.Ed colleges. Once the course is completed, aspirants can opt for pursuing M.Ed or Master of Education degree which is offered by a large number of universities in India.
Apart from pursuing higher education, one can also opt for teaching and jobs in related fields. The course is designed to fulfill the prerequisites of a teacher at the high school level in both public and private sector. Employment areas in both sectors for B.Ed. degree holders comprise government teachers, private teachers, content writing and educational administration and consulting.
However, other career options available after completion of the course comprise educational writer for journals, magazines, websites and newspapers. A person can also take up the job of designing the curriculum for the schools and also a job where the content is developed for e-learning techniques.

Annual and Semester courses distribution
The two-year B.Ed programme of Teacher Education of Manipur University and for its affiliated Teacher Education institutions shall comprise of the courses/papers shown in Table 1
* Assessment of Enhancing Professional Capacities (EPC) course and School internship (SI) shall be as per Assessment Scheme provided for the Course.
A student-teacher can choose Pedagogy (Disciplinary stream) and Pedagogy (Teaching of subject) from any one of the combinations shown in Table 2.
** Optional Course can be selected from anyone of the following:
Arts Education Guidance and Counselling
Special Education Education for Peace
or any additional Pedagogy (Teaching of subject) not selected in Semester II for CPS 02b. However, student-teachers choosing an additional Pedagogy (Teaching of subject) instead of optional courses must have studied the concerned subject in Graduation or Post-graduation level. Mark allotment for optional courses is as shown in Table 3
The University shall conduct the semester-end examination for the B.Ed programme. The time of examination shall be decided and notified by the Examination Committee of the University/concern authority of the University
The marks secured by a student-teacher will be converted into a letter grade. The grade points are the numerical equivalent of letter grade assigned to student as shown in Table 4
The Letter Grade I shall be awarded to student-teacher if he/she
i, is absent or fails to appear in the end-semester examination/external examination for the course.
ii, fails to secure minimum pass marks in the internal components for the course.
iii, is certified by the institute as not eligible to appear at the end semester examination for the
course(s) due to insufficient attendance.
The semester fees are fixed by the college at the time of admission.
There shall be no refund of fees for any reason whatsoever once admission is done.
